ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION & AWARENESS UNIT
Roles:
- The main unit for Environmental Education & Awareness activities in the park
- The focal unit for office campus beatification of park HQ and PROs
- Guardian of the Visitor center, audiovisual equipments, and botanical garden
- Serve as the herbarium showcase of the park
- Focal unit for ecotourism activities in and around the park
- Focal unit studies on cultural and religious sites in and around the park
Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental education and conservation awareness campaigns to the relevant target groups in and around the park and report to the management
- Find out the EEA needs of the target groups
- Educate the visitors about the conservation significance of BWS
- Proper care and maintenance of the visitor center, audiovisual equipments, and botanical garden
- The beautification of PRO and park HQ office premises
- Identification of ecotourism trek routes inside the park
- Compile information on the cultural and religious sites in and around the park
- Maintain the herbarium collection of the important plants founds inside the park
- Development of park information centers at the entry of check points.
- Educate the pilgrims on nature conservation and proper waste disposal
- Monitor the impact of EEA activities and submit report to the management
