The Department of Forests and Park Services in collaboration with ICIMOD, Nepal, and supported by the National Land Commission, National Biodiversity Centre, Menjong Sorig Pharmaceutical Corporation Limited and Department of Livestock has been implementing rangeland restoration initiatives at the pilot site in Tseko under the Divisional Forest Office, Thimphu. Among the various interventions conducted at the site, a prescribed burning exercise was trialled to manage the encroachment of the weeds and invasive species.
